Alquiler 1-year rental commitment
A convenient little bungalow with wooden pavilion for those who like an inspiring, quiet environment in a large natural garden with swimming pond and tall shady trees. Located within a secure, private property with few houses, only 10 mi (15 km) northeast off the busy city of Chiang Mai, in the non-touristy countryside.
Location: 10 mi (15 km) northeast of the city of Chiang Mai, or 11 mi (18 km) to the Tha Phae Gate, or 4 mi (7 km) to the Doi Saket district center, in non-touristy countryside, between two villages, within a fenced, quiet and secure 1.7 acre (7000 m², or 4 rai ) private property with park-like natural garden and a few houses.
 
Size of private areas: Living area in the house (bungalow with pavilion) 517 ft² (48 m²), plus open spaced roofed living area (pavilion) about 320 ft² (30 m²), plus exterior living area (terraces, garden), about 2,150 ft² (200 m²).
 
Buildings: A unit comprising bungalow and pavilion, fully equipped (partly furnished on request). The bungalow, comprising 4 rooms: 1 bedroom (with queen-size bed with mattress 5 × 6.5 ft = 152 × 200 cm, air-conditioner and ceiling fan, room safe, built-in wardrobe); living and dining room (with sitting area, ceiling fan); kitchen, fully equipped (with electric stove with 1 hob, sink, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, hot water kettle); en-suite bathroom (with Western type toilet, hand-wash basin, and electric hot shower). The pavilion, a wooden stilt-house, comprising 2 rooms: 1 bedroom (with queen-size bed, wall fan, hand-wash basin, urinal); bathroom on the ground floor (with Western type toilet, hand-wash basin, hot shower, and washing machine); roofed veranda (with pantry kitchenette, refrigerator) on the upper floor. Laptop friendly workspace upon request. Out-door living area, comprising: Roofed veranda on the upper floor of the pavilion, and under the pavilion (with wall fan), deck adjacent to the living room of the bungalow, all with nice views over the natural pond and garden.
 
Shared: Park-like natural community garden, with pathways, sitting areas, canals, bridges, ponds, tall trees and bamboos, wild edible plants and fruit trees, most of the area can be explored and used for recreation. The natural swimming pond, 300 ft (90 m) long and 23 ft (7 m) deep, is accessible for the community, and can also be used for boating and fishing on request.
 
Facilities: WiFi Internet throughout, tap water (drinkable), electricity 220 V, parking (1 car or 1 motorbike) within the property (roofed car port on request), using the boat on the big pond, using barbecue equipment in the garden.
 
Food: Self-catering. Delivery services for groceries and ready meals (Thai, Western) are available. A few food stalls serving Thai dishes, and small grocery stores for daily needs are within walking distance.
 
Transportation: Public transportation from the street adjacent to the property, fare to Chiang Mai 60 Baht. App-based transport service from Grab (GrabCar, GrabBike) available. Private transportation by renting a car, motorbike, scooter or bicycle, details on request.
 
Pets: Several cats and one dog live outdoors on the property. Therefore, guests with their own pets unfortunately cannot be accommodated.
 
Suitability: This home is best suitable for a single person, or a couple, or a small family, who likes nature and an inspiring tranquil environment, e.g. the elderly, retirees, writers, artists, digital nomads, for people on long-stay vacation and sabbatical leave, for employees working in the east, northeast or southeast of Chiang Mai.
 
Rental rates (for Dillenia Home = Dillenia Bungalow + Pavilion): Monthly rent 11,000 Baht (for 1-2 people), all utility charges included, except electricity and gas consumption is charged extra. Minimum rental commitment 1 year.
An alternative option is to rent Dillenia Bungalow only, which comprises 1 bedroom (aircon), occupancy 1-2 people. The private garden area can be used including the roofed area under the Pavilion. Monthly rent 9,000 Baht, all utility charges included, except electricity consumption is charged extra. Minimum rental commitment 1 year.

Viewing: Possible any day during daytime 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please announce your visit at least 1 day in advance.
